Originally designed for charging aircraft outdoors on the tarmac, we have adapted this high specification model for the unique demands of the Australian campervan and marine environments. The OzCharge OC-1210PS Battery Charger and Maintainer is designed for lead-acid sealed batteries (AGM, Gel & Wet) from 6Ah to 200Ah. The charger is fully automatic allowing the charger to be left on 24/7 with confidence and ensuring that your batteries will perform better and last longer The fanless, fully sealed design is extremely robust and is both dust and splash proof to IP64.

The 1210PS also includes the popular Equalisation and patented Rejuvenation modes for extending the life of your battery (the same as most other Ozcharge models). A battery temperature compensation sensor is provided as standard for accurate charging and maximising battery life. In the event of a battery failure, this model will become a power supply so you can still turn on lights, TV, water pump, etc and not leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere.

All connections are located close to the charger body for easy field service by untrained people in remote areas too.

Power Supply Mode

In this mode the charger is now converting to a constant current and constant voltage power supply allowing you to power 12V appliances,or retain memory when replacing a battery. To enter power supply mode press & hold the Charge Rate button for 3 seconds to activate Power Supply Mode. When in Power Supply Mode, the Pwr. Supply LED will be ON

Battery Charging vs. Battery Maintenance

What's the difference between the two and which battery charger suit your requirements best? Firstly you need to determine whether you need to recharge a flat battery entirely or just keep a battery at full charge.

Battery charging is when you are requiring to recharge a flat or dead battery to full. Battery maintenance on the other hand is when you just want to keep a battery topped up. For instance, if you're storing a classic car that you only drive a few times a month but want to ensure it's ready to go on a sunny afternoon you would require battery maintenance as opposed to battery charging. This is often referred to as trickle charging a battery. All OzCharge battery chargers perform both functions, and understanding each charger's limits is important.
